Food is good but if you pay cash, make them count it to you or count it before they run off all fast because the front woman will take money from you. For example- $54 meal and gave a hundred, the lady gave $25 and change back and ran off before we could notice or say anything. She kept $20 and ran, you can tell she’s done this before so pay with cash but count that soon as it’s given back and enjoy lol.

Food was ok got the mixed fajitas barely any chicken the meat it self needed some more seasoning. The tortillas were not home made which in a mexican restaurant should always be. The service was great very friendly. Atmosphere could use some music going especially when it's empty.

Every local Omak person I know told me to get dinner here. And I'm so glad they did. The atmosphere was joyful fun and welcoming. Chips and homemade salsa were served quickly. Pedro the server kept the whole room well served and entertained. Laughter was had by everyone in the room. Now the food: the mole sauce my enchilada was bathed in was amazing. And The crema sauce on my other enchilada was delicious. Pedro brought out three jalapeños to accompany my dinner and they kicked just the right amount. EAT AT EL PORTAL.

Best Mexican food in Washington State. Authentic and fresh. They don’t skimp on anything. Staff is amazing. Safe and clean and COVID ready. Must stop for lunch if your passing through. We make this a special stop after a weekend in the hills camping before we return home towards the coast.
