Beautiful unexpected city and park. There's a nice wide walking path and benches and a gazebo. Lots of trash cans also which is convenient and easy free parking nearby. Amazing night view. Do beware of goose poop on the sidewalks/grass!
I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby and needed to find a walking trail nearby. This one was the closest and literally started from the parking lot of my hotel. Not a super long trail, but it gets the job done for getting some exercise while on the road for work. The walking path is entirely paved with asphalt and well maintained. What is really nice is the path takes you by the bridge and waterway into Peoria. Very scenic. Tip: For REO Speedwagon fans, stop by the bench by the water that is dedicated to one of its founders of the band, Gary Richrath, their guitarist.
Beautiful cityscape of Peoria on the east side of the river. Clean and well maintained.
I really enjoyed walking down there you get a good view of the Peoria skyline and you have the fish and grill restaurant right next to the bate shop I just love it
The parks is very nice. Ive been there for Fourth of July and it has always been a well put together fun park for large groups
