There was very little water pressure to take a shower. There was something wrong with the faucet in the bathtub /shower. Not enough towels for 2 people. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The convenience of the coffee shop and breakfast was great. Service was fast and friendly.
Seems to be kind of a sketchy area but the room was nice and the rate was very reasonable. The people were friendly. They have a gated area for parking. They have an awesome looking pool area. It was raining and cool when we were there, though. The restaurant was good.
I stayed here 4 days in March. If you get an upstairs room with a view of the pool, and you get a sub-80 price, this is a very nice place, one of my favorites. While the hotel is a little dated, the floor to ceiling windows looking on the pool courtyard were fantasic. There was a balcony to sit and enjoy it as well, and the poolside seating was also calm and peaceful, and very pretty. There is a breakfast special at the attached cafe for $1.99 that was fantastic, definitely a step up from the generic breakfast included at other hotels. Since it's a restaurant, you get restaurant quality along with a waitstaff. The room and bedding were nicely fresh and clean, and I enjoyed the large space with extra seating, a desk, a balcony, and convenient power plugs on nightstand for the electronics. The location has gated parking, which was nice as you are in the central city part. There was only one negative, and a few minor inconveniences: The negative was the requirement to pay an additional "early check in fee" when I added extra days. I stayed in the same room and did not check out, yet they insisted on adding this fee for both extensions I made. It's not clear why they would add an insulting fee when someone wants to stay longer. The staff said they were required to charge it and would not waive it. The minor inconveniences are very minor. First, the bed only had a top sheet on it for covers. Not sure why a single sheet is considered adquate when it's 45 at night. I was able to request and receive a blanket from the front desk, and combined with raising the temperature a bit worked fine. The other minor item was that the curtains would only half open (due to a malfunction). The whole wall facing the pool was windows, but only being able to open it half way was a little bummer. I requested a service call on it, but it was not done. I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and consider it a hidden gem when getting the upper level, pool view room. Rooms that look out at the parking lot, or on the first floor, with the same full length sliding glass doors for the entire wall, would not be as pleasant or feel as safe to me. And for a sub 100 price, it was perfect, but I don't think I would pay much more than that and still be as pleased.
The room was clean and seemed to have been renovated. They let me check in early which was awesome and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The only thing was the room didn't smell so good at all. They maybe need to put air freshener machines on the wall in each room. Other then that a nice stay lots of places to eat and go around.
During our recent stay with my family, we booked two rooms at this hotel. While the rooms were clean, they were not up to par with our expectations. We noticed a funky smell in one of the rooms, which prompted us to open the windows for fresh air. Although one room had an iron and fridge, and the other had a hairdryer, we found that there were not enough towels provided. However, the toiletries were plentiful. The rooms themselves were outdated and could use some renovations. The shower drainage was weak, resulting in water standing in the shower, and the water pressure was low, with only 30% of the water coming from the showerhead. Despite these issues, the staff was exceptional. They were warm and welcoming throughout our stay. When we informed them of the issues upon checkout, they were apologetic and wished we had informed them sooner. Although we were only there for one night, I believe that someone with a longer stay may find it practical for the staff to address these issues. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its friendly staff and convenient location. However, some improvements are needed in terms of the room's cleanliness and amenities.
