I was looking for a spot to get dinner while in town and found this spot. When I arrived I parked in their private lot. When I walked in I seen there was a restaurant area in the back and a bar area in the front. I sat at the bar and JoLinda was my bartender and she was very nice and attentive. I ordered a glass of pinot nior and it wasn't bad. For dinner I asked about the specials and she said the menu online was outdated and there are no specials except for what is written in house. So I went with the stuffed shrimp, masked potatoes and coleslaw. She said it was good. When it came out everything was lukewarm. I dug in and the shrimp and mashed potatoes were just ok. The coleslaw wasn't good at all and it looked like mush. The potato leek soup and roll was good though. All in all my experience was just ok.
Down home pub!! Don’t be deterred by the outside. So welcoming. The staff treat you like family. We felt like we were in someone’s house in a great way!!! Terrific clams casino, egg salad and cocktails!!! Down to earth HOMEMADE food made with LOVE!!!
Like my pizza stops, this is a must go to in Wilkes Barre!
Great open floor plan with a big horseshoe shape bar to sit at. The food was great and the beer was cold. My only gripe was that the wings were very small but for 70 cents on a Sunday per wing, definitely made it worth it.
I remember going here when I was a little girl. Fast forward...it's still perfect. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants. Dukey's still has it!! My haddock was amazing as was my sister's stuffed lobster. Waitress was a little doll..very attentive but not intrusive. Loved loved loved it. Little piece of heaven.. a hidden gem.
