It was ok, not great and not terrible. pure middle of the road. A dozen oysters and one beer ended up costing me $45.00. I ordered three types of oysters. I could not tell the difference between them. some were hot, some were cold a couple were huge and a couple were tiny. There appeared to be only two people working. this is the first place I have been to where I had to open a tab in order to buy food. The construction around the facility kept that rating from being a five.
Decided to take a quick road trip to get away from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta and came across Doc’s on a whim. It did not disappoint! The Caribbean Jerk Rum Butter flavor was DELICIOUS and so was the Tequila Lime Cilantro ones. We aren’t huge cheese fans so we the Parmesan off but I’m sure they are just as good with it. I saw another table’s fried green tomatoes which I regret not ordering but I will for sure next go round. The food was great but what really got me was the Jalapeño Cucumber Infused Margarita! OMG I will be back down for another soon!
Doc's Oyster Bar is a fantastic little spot with a perfect view overlooking the river. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and some areas are even covered—great for those quick afternoon showers. The oysters are the star here—whether raw or fried, they’re absolutely delicious and fresh. It's a laid-back, friendly atmosphere that makes you want to linger. Just a heads-up: place your order before grabbing a seat—I made that rookie mistake on my first visit. Highly recommend for seafood lovers and anyone looking to relax by the water with great food!
Stumbled upon Doc’s after dropping people off at the airport, it is right around the corner. Parking is a little tight for the amount of seating there is but maybe we missed something. You order at a counter and they bring the food to your table. Lots of seating options. Nice water views and shade which is a nice break from the Florida sun. Staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the raw oysters, flavor was great…there were some shells fragments but not a deal breaker just be aware when eating. They also have some extremely hot horseradish, if you’re looking for that. I also got one of the Nathan’s hotdogs. If you like hotdogs you will like this. I added cheese and jalapeños, delicious! A couple of cold beers rounded out my meal. Overall a great experience, our new go to when we need some food before going or after leaving the airport.
A truly local beauty. Oysters are amazing. Horseradish is killer. The USAF explosive ordinance disposal unit members poind their "crab" badges all around the wood word.
