Dayton Coffee Shop and Restaurant

Went for lunch. Excellent home cooked meal served hot. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Highly recommended the cobbler we had pecan and blackberry cobblers with ice cream. Perfect dessert for a hot day!

This is rated as the number 1 breakfast place on trip advisor in Dayton, IT DOESN’T SELL BREAKFAST. It USE to be the best breakfast place in town. No even the dinner and lunch is not good. It’s cold food, under cooked. Horrible service. It’s not clean. Smells bad. If whoever owned it actually put money back into it and cared about the place then it could be great but it’s some old person who doesn’t care anyone and just riding it out till it dies now. So sad. ????

Visited Dayton and stumbled across this wonderful hidden gem of a diner. Love the friendly service and warm, home-style decor. Love the military service pictures on the wall. Definitely try the blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Great place! Highly recommend!

Very cozy and charming. So glad we finally had the chance to try Dayton Coffee Shop today with my husband and daughter. This felt like going to my Granny's house (well except I wasn't in the kitchen helpin cook or doin the dishes.) Thanks for such an enjoyable time. Definitely needed home cooking. It was soooo great! Menu has different specials daily. The upside everything was made perfectly so no bad choices, just wish I had more room for dessert. Our waitress was great, very sweet and PDQ.

Perfect hometown, southern cooking! Their lunch specials are great and affordable. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried on the menu. Amazing desserts! Feels like home.
