Dawns Place Cafe

A little pricy for a small cafe. The food looked good but was a letdown. The burgers had absolutely no flavor (my burger loving kids took 1 bite each and wouldn't eat anymore). Monte Cristo was burned on the outside and under done in the inside. The server was friendly, but food was sub-par at best.

They offer breakfast all day. They even have a kids menu. My son had the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. My daughter had the chicken & dumplings & they were just like her Nana makes. I enjoyed the french dip and the onion rings were tasty. Great portions. Will have to try the crepes next time or the Monte Cristo sandwich. The burgers looked awesome. We will definitely be back!

I ordered a fish dinner to go and when I opened the dinner the mashed potatoes and gravy looked like soup. The fish was laying in the gravy and was soggy. My husband returned the dinner and the owner Dawn was extremely rude telling him the fish was fresh so it was supposed to be soggy. They refunded the cost of the dinner but were very rude. We are regular customers there and we will not be returning. If you could rate with zero stars that’s what they would get. If I was the owner I would be embarrassed to know that a dinner looking like this came out of my establishment.

We ate dinner there last night Some of the best food and service I've had in a restaurant. Every thing was clean, you could see into the kitchen and it was clean even though they were busy. They have hand sanitizer by the front door Their restrooms were clean they had soap and towels ( we had just left Cody Bob's restaurant) down the street because they didn't have any hand soap, I was told not even in the kitchen.

This place is super clean and very cute! I was a bit disappointed with the portion size of the hash browns. The biscuits and gravy were good. My boyfriend got the bacon and cheese omelette “it was large and good”. Food was okay but not something we’d drive out of the way for. This is the reason I’m giving this place one less star than I would. They have a mask policy for customers but not staff. The cooking staff didn’t have a mask on the entire time we were there & the waitresses regularly took theirs off to talk to customers. Very unprofessional.
