Good stuff!! This location was here when I was in high school in the 90’s and already felt like a classic back then! I was in the area and thought I’d stop by for a burger again. The slaw burger - big and flavorful, onion rings - plump and juicy, and a butterscotch shake that was enormous, sweet, creamy and cooling made for a delicious and very filling lunch! There’s a reason this place has been around as long as it has and you should definitely check it out yourself if you’re in the area.
I used to plan trips and stops around the hour and a half drive to Jack's in Chatsworth for their biscuits. No longer. The jelly biscuit with egg and cheese is to die for.
It's a little stop in the midst of not many choices, but it's well worth the stop for a bite. Good food and friendly folks!
Lunch and dinner type food is typical fried fast foods and good, but the breakfast is great. They can be very busy so check your order before leaving. Parking is adequate but access from the main road is treacherous.
After passing by this place for years we finally decided to try it. I regret it. The meat to bun ratio is way off, way too little meat way too much bun. A 2 oz burger patty? And I almost got one pulled from a drawer but fortunately I saw the cook put them on the flat top and asked for fresh patties, which they obliged. To add to the woes one burger had inedible lettuce, the big white part that's close to the stem. On the bright side the fries and onion rings were hot and good!
