Dale's BBQ South

I was looking for another place. The aroma of great BBQ wafted across the road, beckoning me to turn around and try Dale's BBQ. I am glad I did. The combo platter of chicken and ribs with slaw and beans was awesome.

BBQ place that has the feel of a 50s or 60s Florida coast restaurant. Very clean, simple, picnic inside style. Staff is very friendly and the food is a pretty good deal. I got a combo platter for $15.95. Ribs, sliced beef, sliced pork, two sides and corn bread. BBQ is Carolina style, cooked without too much sauce or rub and served that way. You get to add your choice of sauce at the table. Like most Carolina BBQ sauce is very vinegary vs spicy, even for hot. Okra was a treat I haven't had for a while and tasty. Sliced beef and pork were decent enough but the ribs stood out. Mac and cheese and the cornbread were ok but nothing to right home about. Overall a good experience. I'd eat here again.

Not enough good things I can say about my experience today. The waitress was at my table within 2 minutes. I already knew what I wanted. After I made my order the food was brought out hot and steamy in less than 8 minutes. I ordered the super sliced pork special with fries and a large sweet tea and I was out of the resturant in under 30 minutes even during the busy Saturday lunch crowd. I came in hungry and I left fullfilled. EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC! TY!

Sorry, there was nothing positive to say about this Hickory Smoked BBQ restaurant. BBQ Sauce came out of the squeeze bottle like water and all 4 flavors taste the same. BBQ Beans was a can of van camp regular pork & beans, nothing close to a BBQ flavor or ingredients. Mac n Cheese was dry. Baby Back Ribs were awful, no flavor or seasoning. Asked for Potato Salad, they don’t have. Really, what BBQ joint doesn’t have potato salad in their menu? $42.00, could of went to Golden Corral 4 times. Won’t return.

The service was good. Had the half chicken with a sweet potato side. The chicken was dry. It seemed to have been sitting under a heating lamp for a while. The atmosphere was good, it smelled delicious, very rustic. The bathroom doors seemed to imply that women talk too much.
