First, I have to say that I have had steaks from all over the world and I would put the ribeye I got here in my top 5. It was cooked perfectly and the cut of beef was very good quality. Much better than what you will see in chain restaurants. The service was a little slow but I was there on a Thursday night that was not busy so it may be different on the weekends. All in all, I will definitely come back.
A fantastic place to visit, the atmosphere was great and the service was some of the best we've had in a very long time, our waitress was sydney, and she done a fantastic job on taking care of us, the food was very good and the portions are large, a little more seasoning would have been nice but overall was still a great meal. We will be back when we're in the area.
I like what I ordered. Next time I will tell them not to fry the oysters hard. The wonton appetizer was delicious. I will order that again.
The food was all pretty good, but not great. The crawfish bisque was a chowder, not a bisque. The servers were attentive.
Not bad, but not really good. My $30 filet was overcooked. I asked for medium rare and got medium well-done. It tasted good, but wasn't what I wanted. My friend ordered thin-fry catfish, supposedly their specialty. He got regular, thick cuts of fish. Again, good, but not what we wanted. The lights are so bright, I squinted most of the time. They need to be dimmer after 7 pm. It wasn't bad enough to make a big deal out of it and complain, so we just paid the $60 tab and $12 tip, and went home disappointed. And this is pretty much the story of eating out in Pike County. What a shame.
