The building is very federal in design, but it's cool to see. The large pillars at door entrances are common with these styles of courthouse buildings. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is the park that's adjacent does not match the grandeur of architecture. The small gazebo belongs on a children's playground not in a plaza that's a center piece to the historic district. The landscaping is minimal albeit to save water. However, with the amount of outdoor space available it should showcase desert plants and drought tolerant shrubs.

Annual fall foliage vacation to Arizona in October this year would not be complete without a stop at the Prescott courthouse... Don't miss checking out the local lakes in the area as well. Lynx Lake is one of my favorites.

Love coming to Prescott and hanging out at the Courthouse Plaza. Today Sunday they had live music lots of jewelry stands, local honey, and arts and crafts selling. Food stands, including lemonade and shaved ice. Lots to see all around, between galleries, gift shops, bars, restaurants or just sitting in the grass in the shade.

Courthouse is absolutely stunning during the winter months, especially Christmas, with all the festive lights and atmosphere of enlightened individuals it makes for a very interesting and entertaining time! Enjoy " Everybody's Home town".

If you are in Prescott, Arizona, this is a MUST in your visit. The historical downtown area is a lot of fun with loads to see and shops to visit. Entire downtown areas, stores, and shops are also the turn of the century. Many early 1890 and 1900 homes nearby to see as well as Wiskey row that was home to Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday for several years. You can see their tale and pictures on one of the saloons they frequented amongst many others. The food is great there as well. Turn back the clock and ???? enjoy.
