Chubbies Pub And Grub

Really good salads, wraps, burgers, pizza, and wings. Chubbies is always clean and has sports on all tvs. Good drinks, beer selection, and prices make it a perfect spot for lunch or dinner...... if you're looking for a clean sports bar in Syracuse, Indiana!

Had a weird experience going here. 3 of us ordering, our waitress started out nice enough. My boyfriend tried ordering traditional wings, and after waiting almost 40 minutes for our food, it comes out and he gets boneless. He also didn’t receive the correct sauce on them. He asks our waitress if he could have them remade, and that is where everything started going south. She pulled out her notepad and tried proving him wrong, when all of us knew he said traditional. So she just put the order in. And did not come to check on us a single time after that unless it was to bring the bill and the correct wings. She was glaring at us every time she walked past us. Service and quality of food is always hit or miss here, but I’ve had more bad experiences than good. I’m not sure if I’ll be back here sadly because I kind of enjoyed it.

If I could give no stars I would. It was Thursday 3.99 burger special. I got it with no toppings (although it comes with lettuce, pickle, and onion free of charge). I asked for a side of Mayo and the waitress charged me $1.00 for it. She had the audacity to tell me it was a charge for the deluxe. I asked what the deluxe was and she said tomato and Mayo. I NEVER got the tomato with my sandwich. The fries were so skimpy and a charge of 3.50 for a basket. The price or side of fries was not on the menu. I was expecting $1.50 maybe even $2 for a side of fries but $3.50! That’s outrageous. Then the waitress charged me a full price for a skimpy kids cup (we’re taking styrofoam that you buy at the dollar store) drink. $2.50 I paid for that. When I asked her for an extra plate she brought me a styrofoam plate! Seriously?!?!? I’m in a restaurant not a park concession stand! Then the atmosphere was horrible. We was in the family room and the music was blaring so loud in my ear bc the speaker was right above our booth I couldn’t even have conversation. The music they was playing was obnoxious pop music which made it more annoying than just regular music itself. The waitress didn’t even come back until it was time for our check to ask us if we needed anything. I will not be back. Ever!

Great food and very chill environment. Every time I have gone, the food is fresh and the atmosphere is great!

If you like waiting an hour and a half for food and sitting in a bowling alley, then this place is great for you. We drove half and hour because we heard that this place had great tenderloins. We are still grieving penguin point…RIP. However, here at chubbie’s the kitchen was slow and the service was rude. The place was unsanitary and way understaffed We were not greeted at the door or told to seat ourselves and there was no sign telling us to do so. We were put in the bowling alley and did not receive service for a good 30 minutes, not even to take our drink order. After that it was yet another long wait to get our food. As we were getting up to leave, our food was magically ready. Convenient. The food we got was cold, suggesting it had been sitting out for awhile, odd because we sat there waiting for an hour and a half for it. The mayonnaise was chunky and the silverware was sticky; overall the whole place just felt grimy. We will NOT be going back anytime soon. Chubbie’s, do better.
