They do not have enough servers. The guy who was bartending was also the waiter. He worked hard and was pleasant. But the customer is kept waiting. Watched my Linguine Ala Vodka sit on the shelf for @ 5 minutes before he had time to deliver. It was still hot and delicious!
I'd truly like to give this restaurant higher scores, and I would have IF the food would have been actually cooked properly. My chicken (Pollo Maria) was NOT cooked. It was pink and cold in the center. (see picture) My brother's "breaded" walleye sandwich and came out with beer batter and inside the batter was still raw and gooey. We showed our server and he didn't seem to think anything was wrong with it. But did offer to BROIL another filet. (FYI...The "breaded" onion rings also were beer batter.) I took my chicken home and finished cooking it because we had been there 2 hours already. The service was slow and we understood that there would be a wait. We just wanted our food cooked properly so we wouldn't make anyone sick, basic food safety. My advice, go during a slow time. I think it would be a much better experience. As for us, we probably won't be returning. Once bitten twice shy. PS. The French onion soup was really good!
This place is amazing! For being out in the boonies it's great better then anything you can get in the big city's. I went up there for some ice fishing and my buddy took me her because it's the best food around. I will definitely say go to the all you can eat fish and shrimp so good!
We went for Friday night fish and shrimp fry dinner. It was SO good! We had a waitress named Sheila that was so kind, we enjoyed her company very much. Make sure you order their au gratin potatoes for a side. Heavenly!!
My wife and I dined here for dinner, during a yearly trip from California, in late August. This was our first time here but we will certainly be back again next year. They were busy when we arrived, and we didn't have a reservation, but Kristi found there was a no show, and we took it. I have to say that "KRISTI" was an absolute delight to have as our waitress. We had such a good time interacting with her that evening! It really made our dinner special. Thank you Kristi!! The food was excellent and the portions were very generous so it was everything that we had hoped for. I know I've read negative reviews for Cedar Creek but that was not our experience. Something to remember is that with the current state of affairs, almost every place has some sort of shortage. It might be a shortage with the wait staff, kitchen help, and cooks etc. and sometimes the people doing those jobs may not have as much experience as we would normally expect. Unfortunately, that's just the way it is right now so try to be patient. It's always easy to be critical when we don't get the food or service we are expecting. But also don't forget to compliment and tip when it is deserved.
