Cafe at the Dam

They call this a shrimp taco? Had to look for the shrimp and there were 4 small shrimp per taco mostly lettuce and tomato with no taco sauce, no sour cream, no cheese, just plain lettuce and tomato with a few small shrimp lost on a burrito size tortilla. The service was subpar never once asked how the food was and my glass stayed empty for a while before I was offered a refill. To be fair my wife said that her catfish sandwich was good, but in my opinion if you don't know how to make something then you probably shouldn't have it on the menu. Sorry I love to support small business as I know it is hard nowadays. I'll give them another chance that's only fair but honesty they are off to a bad start.

2 stars for breakfast 4 for dinner. The hash browns were barely cooked and the whole plate was kind of cold. I upped it a star since they took some off the tab to make up for it. As for dinner. When I was here before it was great. Hot food. The frog legs were awesome. Not sure if it’s a different oil on Sunday morning, but breakfast doesn’t match the dinner.

My husband and I love going here. The staff is awesome. The food is delicious and is inexpensive. I'd recommend the Cafe to anyone and everyone!!

Maddie was an excellent server & service was fantastic! Food was FABULOUSO!!! I had seafood platter & portion size was HUGE! Excellent restaurant & family story????????????

Ordered and it came out all over the place, ordered two coffees. We were never checked on after ordering and never were given refills. When we asked if we could have a coffee to go we were told we would have to be charged again. When we protested the server made up excuses. I have been eating at beaver dam cafe for years and years, this was by far my worst experiences here and one of my worst dining experiences in the county. You lost a long time paying customer because you wouldn’t give me the coffee we already paid for. I shouldn’t have to argue with you to get a product I have already given you money for. We spent 30$ on French toast and steak and eggs and you can’t afford a 25 cent coffee? The entrance next to the grease trap is unappetizing and there was water all over the floors leaking from everywhere. Should have probably just been closed all together.
