6th Gear

Food was great Friday fish fry. Not too busy came around 6 p.m. waited an hour for food. Boyfriend said haddock was very good. Group next to us said blue gil and catfish were great.

I've been going to 6th Gear since the current owner purchased it literally right before covid hit & made tough times for the restaurant industry. Let me just start with saying everyone here is friendly. They are a small crew (just like my own business) so I immediately want to give business to a fellow small business. The owner goes above & beyond to give back to his community by holiday meals, poker runs for charities, etc. The amount of customers these guys & girls move in & out of this place is crazy sometimes but they all handle it efficiently!! The food is always good ! Just this week I had a wrap from there, not one day but 2 days ????. When we order lunch for our office during the week it's always 20 minutes from ordering to pick up time (which for fresh food I think it awesome time ????) . The staff can get busy at times but all my requests have always been handled even if I go on a Friday for their amazing fish fry. Keep up the great work Joel, Cindy & the rest of the crew ????!!!

Was there last Friday evening for fish fry. Got a table in 10 minutes, which was great considering we’d been told it might be a half hour wait. Had a good SoCo Old Fashioned and ordered the haddock. Unfortunately it took over an hour and a half to get our food. Staff was somewhat apologetic, however we were charged full price for everything, including another round of drinks which we only ordered because of waiting so long for our dinner order. I’d expect a restaurant/bar in Wisconsin on a Friday night could do better. Very disappointing.

Food wasn't made correctly had to send it back twice. No discount either for their mistakes. Service was poor. Do not recommend

My wife and I wanted somewhere different and decided to try 6th Gear. The people who work there were very friendly as we walked in. We ordered our drinks which were brought right away. We then decided to order an Island burger and fries. The burger patty is a half pound and was cooked perfectly. Very juicy!! My wife can be a little picky but she was so impressed that she wants to make it our go to place.. No question, will definitely be going again!
