Buckets Crawfish and Seafood

This restaurant was recommended by my hotel, no more recommendations from there. Th grilled shrimp was flavorful, I really enjoyed them but the catfish was to thin, to much breading. The hush puppies were to dry. The service was ok but maybe a little bit more experienced staff will make a difference.

We went to New Orleans and were not too impressed by the food there. It was good but not what we expected(what LA is known for-spice and cajun). On the way back home, we decided to give this place a try and were MIND BLOWN! This was amazing! The food was delicious, flavorful, and spicy as requested! MacKenzie was our waitress and she was so patient and helped us pick something that would meet what we were wanting to try. We went with our family of 5(3 kids under the age of 9) plus us 2 parents. Hubby had the seafood platter with pull apart potatoes and I had the pound of boiled shrimp with the same side as him. Food was out in less than 10 minutes, hot and ready. The atmosphere was so welcoming! Will definitely be eating local instead of going to New Orleans! We spent $150 at New Orleans and it was not even seasoned the way LA is known for. When we asked the waitress she said some people don't like the spice so they only carry hot sauce- I'm sorry, what? And here at Buckets we spent less than half of that! Overall 10/10 experience! Will definitely make a stop again on our next trip to LA!

First time to try this restaurant was Saturday, Mother's day weekend. We arrived a few minutes before they opened. The place offers a COLESLAW BAR which was great. You can get it already made up or make it yourself. The place is clean & service was good. Our waitress was attentive & when ask about items on menu she explained things well EXCEPT! When ordering the COMBO Catfish & Shrimp. (MENU READ) 4-CATFISH (FRIED OR BAKED)5-SHRIMP. My daughter-in-law & I got the combo, EXCEPT, I Got BAKED Catfish. When we got our orders I only had 1- PIECE of CATFISH & She had 4. I ask the waitress, Why did I only get 1? She said you only get 1 w/ baked CATFISH. ( these were catfish cut into strips) When I told her it wasn't on the menu like that! Nor did she mention it. She too said it doesn't make sense ???? ???? ???? We also got the smashed potatoes with our meal. They were good, needed a little more seasonings. The place is roomy & kid friendly. I do think it's wheelchair accessible ( a little tight in some areas) LIKE BATHROOMS. PARKING is good & spacious. I will come back, bc my son got BOILED SHRIMP, it was SEASONED PERFECTLY! you could taste the Cajun season on the Shrimp. Mosy places it's mainly on the shell. We also had (App) FRIED PICKLES, they were really good ????

The atmosphere was good. The food was good.......slightly underseasoned for my liking. I was not happy with the temperature of a few of my items. It seems the cooks can't manage to get items out at the correct temperature. Pull apart potatoes were delicious and cold. I was done eating before I received a couple items. The bread rounds arrived at the end of my meal and ice cold. Not sure why I waited so long for cold bread. The service was good. The wait staff is very young but good. I ordered the pick 2 platter with fish, shrimp, pull apart potatoes and added a side of bread rounds and an ear of corn. I really wanted the bread as cold as it was but sent the corn back. They have a slaw bar which is different. Not sure if I will return, or if so, how soon.

The food and drinks were good. While it didn’t seem to have an extra umph or uniqueness about what we ordered, everything was fresh and flavored. I came with a large group of people which probably contributed to the service, as some items were late or missing, but overall the group was treated well. Once the size of the party was realized, our waiter was assisted and this improved the overall experience. I would definitely try again, but for a personable, smaller table experience.
