Black Forest Family Restaurant

Food was delicious. They were SEVERELY understaffed (two waitresses and every seat was filled on a Saturday morning) however, the host's energy was welcoming, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was cold, bright...think school cafeteria vibe.

Great home cooked meal vibes. Wait, staff is a little slow, but they were also pretty well packed. The food is ready, surprisingly fast, almost every time I go. Definitely one of my local favorites!

Service friendly and attentive in this first visit since Black Forest reopened. I opted for the "Pick your own" breakfast combination of two eggs, two strips of bacon and one pancake for $5.95 and coffee. The ample serving of eggs, bacon and pancake were done well and tasty and the coffee good as well. Worthy of a return visit to try lunch and dinner selections. We still find the Black Forest a satisfying place for breakfast and lunch

The front of house service is good. Food is mediocre. One thing that stands out is the portions (small). Which the last time I was here, the hash browns could literally be covered by a dollar bill. The positive side is that the waitress acknowledged it and made it right.

I had forgotten about this restaurant. We drove by and stopped for breakfast. I really liked the "build your own breakfast". I like that because I can't order and pay for exactly what I want.
