Annette's Westgate

We tried this place because they have really good vegan options for my cousin. Portions are big. I split an omelette with hash browns and they plated it accordingly. The food was good and the servers are excellent. Pleasant breakfast on a road-trip.

Cute restaurant but the fettuccini Alfredo and salad was shockingly bland. Menu prices are high for average level food. The dinner portion was very generous if mild tasting food is what you like.

Hadn't been here in a few years because the food was going down hill and the prices kept going up. Prices are still up there but this time the food was really good. Service was great as it always was. We will be going back very soon. However, I'm really bummed that they got rid of their salad bar. That was always one of my favorites.

Annette's Westgate is one of the places in Salem I liked to go to for Gluten Free chicken strips. I order my usual Gluten Free Chicken Strips and fries. The food came out pretty quickly. However, I had battered fries as my fries. I have been there many, many times over the years and the fries have never been battered. I waited for a server to pass by. After politely trying to get someones attention. I got up and approached two servers cleaning up at the table in front of me. I asked about the fries.They went to check. As I suspected they were not Gluten Free. Why would this be an over sight? I asked. I was told all fries come like that so they can be frozen. Right after her saying they're were not they're normal fries. Which are gluten free. I was given tater tots as a solution. Taste like they need to clean the fryer oil. Chicken was dry and super thin. On my trip to women's bathroom at the end of my meal I saw the trash was over flowing, paper towels and toilet paper on the floor, dirty floors, walls covered in dirt and more. The handicap support bars had brown and black dried dripped residue under attachments to wall. No toilet protectors. Toilet brush was in the garbage with no bag next to handicap toilet. Time of visit was 12:30 on a Saturday in January 2024

Today is this first time I ate here and I have to say it's ???? worth it. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone. I love the cute building that it is in. When you walk in it has a really great atmosphere. I can not remember what our servers name was but she was supper friendly. The number one thing I love about this restaurant is that it does indeed gave gluten free options so this place is great for people like my husband who has celiac disease and can not eat gluten at all. I absolutely loved eating here and love this restaurant.
