2 Javelinas Draft House

Giving this a 4-star rating because I feel like it's under-rated (amongst other Pecos restaurants). My husband and I spent the night in Pecos and wee looking for a "good" place to eat. This was the 2nd choice for us, as our first choice (based on convenience only as it was located next to our hotel) was closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had zero expectations based on the reviews but needed to eat, so headed to the restaurant. It was a Sunday night and, to our pleasant surprise, found the place to be packed! I chose the Cajun chicken sandwich (sans pico) and my husband went with the basic burger. We were both very pleasantly surprised! Our dishes were perfectly cooked (yeah - cuz our expectation was they would be hockey pucks), the chicken/meat seemed to be fairly fresh (double yeah!) and both actually had some flavor to them. ... And the fries were hot!! And our server was very attentive! The only downside is that they only serve beer (and the first 2 I wanted they were out of!).

The bun it came on was great The pulled pork had a nice smoke flavor The bacon in my opinion should be sliced The cheese sauce was not made from the right cheese and needs more flavor maybe pinto cheese the ???? where fresh and cook well maybe a green chili as well on the burger

Solid spot for wings and beer if you find yourself in Pecos. Wings were crispy and meaty, beer on tap was nice and cold. No complaints, TV set up was solid to watch the game.

Ordered a cajun chicken sandwich with fries got it with in 5 mins of ordering it was kinda surprised I got it so quick. It was ok but not worth $15 considering you get a regular size hoagie bun cut in half with a piece of chicken on each half that didn't even cover each bun definitely disappointed will not order that sandwich again and you get a small amount of fries ...DEFINITELY NOT A $15 Meal

Chips and salsa $15 Really? Any other restaurant t put it on the table for free as you walk in What a waste of time and money
