It never ceases to amaze how carefully this infrastructure has been integrated into the thousand-year-old ruins. Pueblo is beautiful. It speaks to sensitive people, they have many questions. Why? How? Were these people happy? Why are so many pueblos so close together? For protection? Family? It is a very quiet place, sacred. It feels peaceful, but who knows if it was in the past. It is easy to walk to the pueblo on a marked trail. There is a small door you can use to enter the room. Amazing views outside. There is a dry bathroom, trash cans available.
Another great park. We would have appreciate to get some deeper explanation but truly awsome to visit. Kid liked as always the jr ranger booklet.
Beautiful archaeological heritage site with unique opportunity to experience the solitude of the desert inside of a Sinaguan pueblo at Wupatki National Monument.
We like to come back every few years. It really seem like they are keeping this place up. Really enjoyed it this in April. I'm not busy at all, and you could just take your time and take in the view.
Wukoki was very interesting. I visited this first as I entered the Wupatki National Monument from the Sunset Crater N.M. Although Wukoki is much smaller than Wupatki, the architecture is very interesting. It seems to grow out of its supporting rock formation. The trail around the site provides great views of the building and its base.
