What a wonderful way to honor our veterans and Major Winters.

I enjoyed the Winters Leadership Memorial. The statue and descriptive signs were interesting. I rode my bike along the Warwick to Ephrata trail from the Memorial. There were many interesting sites along the way. Those included some Covered Bridges close to the trail. The town of Lititz at the end of the trail was also very interesting.

A must see if you’re a Band of Brothers fan and in the area. I stopped by after visiting Maj. Winters’ grave at a nearby cemetery, it was a short and easy drive. The memorial is alongside a trail named for Winters and there’s a parking lot. The statue is identical to one of Maj. Winters in Normandy, France, where he jumped on D-Day. Take a look at all the divisions written around the base of the statue as well as all the personalized pavers that surround the monument honoring Winters and other veterans. There’s some inscriptions and signage about his life and Pennsylvania roots If you’re interested in learning more about Maj. Winters, I’d highly recommend the Hershey History Center’s exhibit on Winters and the Gettysburg Museum of History, which has his uniform and items from the war

This is a very impressive memorial to an extraordinary person and leader. Anyone who enjoyed Steven Ambrose's " Band of Brothers" or the HBO mini-series of the same name, knows the story of Easy Company and its special leader- Major Richard " Dick" Winters. These outstanding soldiers distinguished themselves in Europe during World War II , entering combat on " D-Day" and fighting until the German surrender. This memorial is a fitting tribute to Major Winters. I enjoyed learning more about his life from the informational placards ringing the statue of his likeness. My only issue: one of the placards has been defaced, someone with zero respect has scratched it up- it should be fixed or replaced. Regardless, this memorial is definitely worth visiting if you are a veteran, a patriot, have an interest in US History, or simply enjoyed the book/mini-series. God bless Major Winters, the men of Easy Company, and the Greatest Generation. I also recommend driving about 5 minutes further, to see Major Winters' resting place.

Nice memorial, especially for the followers of WW2 history and the Band of Brothers series. Memorial located on a quiet one-way street at the edge of a walking trail. Nice stop if you're in the area, but if you're looking to take a long road trip just to see this, then I'd recommend simply watching a tour on YouTube.
