Whistle Stop

The place was clean and friendly. However, the breakfast...meh. Aren't we in the county? The one known for potatoes? Why are canned potatoes served? The potatoes were "warm" and bland. The eggs & bacon were pretty run of the mill. The wheat toast was delicious. This place is a "pass" for me in future visits.

Lovely atmosphere, good friendly and professional service, the inside in nice and cozy. The food was good portions and delicious.

Fabulous. Great find. So glad we stopped. This was the best food we've had in 6000 miles. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. Even with covid restrictions this stop was the best. Give them a try and don't forget to check out Grandma's corner (there's a great story). Be sure to buy a homemade dessert for later. Great place. Excellent, fast, hot breakfast. I missed the rush at 9:30am.

The food was okay at best. The French toast was not traditional French toast at all. Loved the home fries but I'm thinking they were processed and not homemade. The bacon was the microwave type I think and the sausage was frozen patties. Kids had pancakes which looked like a box mix and they were flat not fluffy. The French toast sticks were frozen box ones. We went to see Santa will go back next year for the experience was awesome for the kiddos. They were super busy and the staff looked overwhelmed but they were still very nice. Tables were clean and had everything we needed. I personally think a buffet style would really benefit this event. With a coffee and cocoa bar. I wouldn't feel like purchasing any higher end items bc when I go out to eat I don't like frozen processed food I like fresh homemade food.
