Decent selection of goods for being a small town, prices reflect that. Wonderful staff, clean and laid out well.
I was at Stein's last year when I was visiting from Ottawa, Canada. Prices then were expensive in relation to the price of groceries in the capital of Canada - Ottawa with 1.2 million people. Now back this summer, a year later 2023, and the store is now a Watson's Market. The prices are even more outrageous at Watson's. Price gouging is out of control at this store. They are taking advantage of people in this small community who have very little income; they should be ashamed of themselves. The US dollar cost me $1.36 and yet your groceries are more expensive that Canadian groceries stores and also the goods have to travel further to Ottawa. Example: cherry tomatoes $5.59, back in Canada $1.99. Cob of corn $1, Canada .49 cents. Watson's is all about "profit".
Prices are high for a small town where alot of people don't make or have much money. They got us by the balls and obviously don't care. Everything is always about money.
Had what I needed at the currently high prices... Some shelves were a little bare, but this was the day after independence day, a long weekend holiday. Clean and ordered.
Nice little grocery store with fair selection of goods. Raw meat & baked goods selection could be a little better, but overall the selection was nice. The staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have, or suggest some cool things you wouldn’t have thought of normally.
