food quality: 5/5 service: 5/5 cleanliness: 5/5 value: 5/5 Don’t skip on: The Clam Chowder Tried out Turner’s for the first time and it was great! The staff was very welcoming and the restaurant was clean. There was a variety of choices, especially for those that like seafood! We ordered the fish cake, Caesar salad, clam chowder, and fish and chips. Everything came out quickly and tasted great! The restaurant has a very rich story and they lots of great history surrounding the area. Recommended for anyone in the Salem area!
I had a great experience at Turner’s Seafood! The food was fresh and full of flavor, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit even more enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality seafood and a comfortable place to dine.
Hailey was our server, and she was incredibly kind and patient with us, especially since we were visiting from out of town, driving back home from Salem. We didn’t get the chance to visit Turner’s in Salem, so we gave this place a try. The clam chowder was absolutely delicious, and our meals were well-prepared. I had hoped to order a lobster tail, but it wasn’t available as an add-on. Instead, they recommended the lobster pie, and I’m glad they did—it was fresh and delicious. The Parmesan risotto cake was perfect add on. The pasta with shrimp and sausage was also really good, and I loved the ricotta touch. I would have preferred a bit more pasta, but it was still delicious. The salmon was just okay in taste, but the portion size was very large. The oysters were also just okay. The desert was also good! Overall it was great food! Ps if they have the seasonal pumpkin beer, give it a try. My friend said it tasted well.
I really love Turners. The food is always amazing and fresh! I love the haddock and the Asian tuna nachos!! The atmosphere is comfortable warm and friendly. I would have given 5 stars on service except every time I sit at the bar to eat I'm always waiting for the only person working there to come my way. They are trying to do it all. Need more help behind the bar. Plus the seating outside makes this a wonderful charming restaurant in Melrose center.
Went last night for our anniversary. Was very disappointed. We ordered the clams casino and fried calamari for apps . The calamari was delicious and cooked to perfection. The clams casino were sandy and bacon was raw in some spots. Now I expect A bit of sand but not a mouthful. For our meal we had clams over linguine. Barely gave you thirty cents worth of pasta and three small little necks. The chopped up clams that were in it were tough and pasta was over cooked. Fell apart when you tried to twist on your fork. I had the baked haddock which was cooked good . Small piece for the money they charge. The rice was cold with the exception of a little bit on top where they put the hot sauce on it . The asparagus were large and woody. For desert we got the special , bread pudding . It was delicious. Unfortunately not good enough for me to return to Turners again. Too bad, use to be a go to spot.
