Troyer's Country Amish Blatz

I’ve lived in the area for 6 weeks and have already eaten from there 3 times. This quickly became the top place for us to introduce family to when they visit. The sandwiches are out of this world. So many options of meats and cheeses. Delicious pickles. Plus the country store has so many things to take home. The big winner though is the ginger snaps. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY The banana pudding with ginger snaps. It’s legitimately one of the 10-20 best desserts I’ve ever had

You’ve NEVER had a sandwich like this. For sure the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my 25 years living in WNC. Not to mention they have incredible banana pudding and plenty of other snacks and treats! The stop here is worth it!!

Troyer’s always shows out. From their amazing fresh deli bread, meats, the best butter, fresh eggs, deli sammiches, and grocery. Pro tip *get the best fresh peanut butter cookies eveerrrr*. Lastly, Alpacas in the back yard for a cute photo opp.

We’ve been coming to Troyer’s Amish Blatz for over a decade, and it’s hands down home to the best sandwiches in Western North Carolina. This family-run, mom-and-pop business is a true gem, and the folks here are some of the kindest you’ll ever meet. Philip Troyer and his family are pillars of our community. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, they stepped up in an incredible way—donating their time and resources to help families in need. Their generosity and heart for others are nothing short of inspiring. We’re grateful to have businesses like this in our area. Supporting Troyer’s isn’t just about great food—it’s about standing behind a family that truly cares about their neighbors. Highly recommend!

Great little shop off the beaten path, old timey feel, nice folks. Super good, been trying to come here for a year, but I’m 45 min away. Worth the drive, for a step back in time.
