CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Small but quaint. Some neat products. No fresh quac, empanadas, or lemons surprised me
RACIST I am not Hispanic but I have a Colombian boyfriend and when we went to the store they did not know he spoke Spanish. And while we were there shopping the girls at the counter were making very unkind comments to say the least. Like what were we doing there? As if it wasn't ok to shop there. Honestly my boyfriend would not tell me all the things they said because he didn't want me to get mad. So I do not recommend this place to anyone they are overpriced and apparently have a problem with anyone who's not Mexican. And upon reading other reviews these two girls have done this to more than just us. I would rather pay for shipping and get the items online than ever give them my money.
Stopped today with my husband and young daughter. We were so excited to check out this adorable looking store as we love Mexican food and cooking. Upon walking in, we were not greeted. No one smiled. Blank stares and immediate looks of judgement and disgust. At no point did anyone offer to assist us. We quickly found a few items we were interested in including tamales. We wanted to verify the meat filling in the tamales and asked if they were chicken. The woman at the checkout laughed and said she spoke no English. My husband who is semi fluent in Spanish asked for clarification using Spanish. The woman ignored him and started laughing, continued ringing us up, and never said thank you. We also believe we were intentionally overcharged for the tamales. The vibe was very unwelcoming…even towards our small daughter. Clearly our business was not appreciated or wanted in this establishment which is unfortunate because when we lived in Madison we loved our local Mexican grocery and often referred friends to their business. We will not ever be back to Tres Hermanos. We also will not frequent their restaurant again and will tell everyone we know about this very uncomfortable experience. Clearly, only a certain type of clientele is welcomed in this establishment.
I'm very sad that my favorite checkout woman isn't working there anymore! Bring her back please! ???? She was the BEST!! The new one is alright. At least the store is still the same as before. Mi familia me encanta la variedad de auténtica comida Mexicana y panes frescos!!
I used to live in a Mexican neighborhood in Chicago and I miss being able to pick up certain products. I found Tres Hermanos and found the items I was looking for! I’ll be going back monthly. It was clean, well stocked, organized and the cashier was very friendly. So happy they carry El Milagro tortillas here! They’re hands down the best!
