Thomas Park

This is a huge park with a splash pad, 2 playground and a massive sandbox! There are 3 very large covered areas with power and trash cans would be very good spot for patty’s or a family reunion! We love the big playground! Basketball courts and walking trail are great as well! Lots to do for all ages.

The kiddos and I love Thomas Park and can't wait to visit again. We had a little fun due to the cold weather and I met a good friend there also with her kids.

Fun playground for kids of all ages. Lots of shade, seating, and picnic areas, too. The swings are high enough for forty plus year old to recapture the youthful feeling of flying.???? A word of ?? though, just because a middle-aged human can swing to great heights does not automatically mean that jumping off is advised! Or, be like me and throw Caution to the wind, and embarrass your teenagers while simultaneously tweaking your bad knee ????! All in all, good times to be had!

Great local park. Large play area for the bigger kids and a smaller area for the smaller kids. In the summer the splash pad is on and it is a great place to cool off. The is a restroom.

Very clean. I particularly used the Marion HS Track every morning while on vacation. Very nice. Update 1.12.23: Sad to see the Marion Track and historic Football Stadium was razed. I now have moved over to using the beautiful trails from Thomas Park. 4.17.23- I have started to venture into the old Marion Cemetery. What a nice history lesson. Really worth checking out if you are in the area. Highly recommend! 9.21.23- New Parkview Elementary School Construction in place of old HS Football Field/Track
