The Wine Bar

Having ate here twice in the same number of weeks, I found the dishes created a lavish dining experience and well presented in both cases. (The lamb was a definite winner for me.) A big shout out to the smiley waitress Annabelle, who provided an exceptional, attentive and friendly service throughout.

The Wine Bar in Herne Bay never disappoints, the food, the atmosphere and the service is just fantastic! Lisa makes your evening with her great sense of humour. A perfect place to spend an evening with friends????????????????????

This place is a ‘little gem’ Fabulous atmosphere, the food is bloody outstanding!! Great menu, freshly cooked by Tony (owner) His lovely wife Lisa works the bar, fantastic personality and makes a spectacular baby guiness’ ???? If you are in The Bay ….. it’s a must

We went for our wedding anniversary and they couldn't do enough for us to make it special. We received a warm and friendly welcome with little hearts on the table and romantic music all evening. The food was delicious and all fresh. The service was excellent, relaxed and friendly. We have been before and will definitely go again. Thanks for rescuing our special day xx

Herne Bay is a charming town with a really good choice of restaurants and bars...The Bouncing Barrel, Wallflower Cafe, Bay Leaf Cafe, Casa Mia to name but a few. But there is a real gem in this town tucked away in a romantic basement part of an old townhouse simply called The Wine Bar. Don't go thinking it is just a wine bar as it is a fantastic little restaurant too. The menu is well crafted and suitably minimal with an excellent range of choice and the food is of a very high standard and quite delicious. I had vegetarian fajitas which were lovely and very generous in portion size. I was really happily surprised by the thought that has gone into the menu and would have liked to try other things so I must return. The decor is charming and subtle, creating an intimate and friendly atmosphere and the host and hostess really welcoming and engaging. I was impressed with the wine list and the quality of the Albarino which we had. I would seriously recommend a visit, though phone ahead as they are very busy. A real gem if you are visiting the area or staying in Herne Bay.
