The Downtown Eatery & Bakery

We had a surprise birthday party here for about 100 people. The food was excellent, staff were polite, and personable. Anything we needed was provided quickly. We could not have had a better experience. I would recommend using The Downtown Eatery to anyone looking for a great event spot, excellent food, and super staff.

First time here. Week day dinner around 4pm. Very clean, recent renovation done nice. Wife and I ordered the specials meatball dinner, with onion soup & chicken pot pie. Meatball dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans were good, not a large serving. Bowl of onion soup was small thought it was a cup, clarifying it was a bowl. Soup tasted good could have been hotter.Chicken pot pie not what expected, it was simply a flakey turnover pastry in a bowl of chicken & corn soup. Servered not hot enough, porting size was smaller. Also did not bring a soup spoon. ???? waitress friendly enough just not around much. Got cinnamon rolls for drive home they were delicious. For the cost not really worth what we received. It was a new try, now we know it was ok, just some opportunities for improvement. Larger rooms in back they said for weekend breakfast buffet, maybe try some day. Larger assortment of pastries & donuts.

We had a very attentive, kind server. 5 stars for the staff!! We ate here with a large church group in the large back room. Decent food on the buffet... nothing special, to be honest. 3 stars for the food. I liked the salad bar. But i wasnt there for the food, i was there for the company. We had a wonderful time.

We went at lunch time. We were seated in a reasonable amount of time. Server took forever to take our order. When we did get our food my wife’s food was Luke warm and mine was not as I had ordered. My wife was supposed to get a salad with her meal and it was never brought! We asked the waitress about the salad and she said we could get it to go but that’s not an option due to us being so far from home. We let the cashier know about the service and not getting what we had ordered. She apologized and rang up our full ticket price and never even offered a discount for not getting all of our food. Will we go back? Probably not!

The breakfast buffet food was mediocre at best. I really like buffets, so I hope it gets better. The service and the price were good.
