The Black Pearl Tavern

We were working in Hoquiam this weekend and needed a little break and some warmth. Walked into the Black Pearl and met Denise, one of the owners. Has a great conversation - Great service - what Great history in that building - yes there are spirits there! A bit later her hubby, Johnny comes in...loved him too! Not many times you can walk into a bar not knowing anyone and feel comfortable immediately! Thanks guys for a fun time! We’ll be back!!

A good watering hole. Friendly new management. A beautifully restored drinks wall cabinet that is a touch of the past. I suggest some snacks (food) to be available. Even if it is just a simple hot dog.

I really like this bar and i dont understand why so many gay peeps have such negative things to say about it. except maybe they need to learn how to act in a public place instead of acting like its a place to make out and harass others who try to be excepting of gays but make it impossible .so im glad if they dont feel welcome .keep the public displays of sexual pride somewhere else.great freindly service and awesome music .

i can't believe in this day and age there are people that are so close minded and closed hearted to close a place of business for one day and threaten peoples lives because they are apart of the lgbt community. the are not hurting you, you are hurting only you. i am a proud 52 yr old mother of a drag queen and to a lot of others in this community. have a heart.

As of late I heard about the theoretical incident at the Black Pearl when dealing with a large group of LGBTQ people. As a conservative transgendered woman, the mere possibility of this group of people acting in this way forces me to research more into what occurred, and write an updated review. Also, afterwards I will do a commentary youtube video on what I have found, after talking to and recording conversations with both sides.
