Tex & Shirley’s Family Restaurant

I really dont like to give this low of a rating, but I could have made this at home. It was sub par food, and the atmosphere is not for everyone. I felt quite uncomfortable because there was no one in there that looked like me but the guy who picked up the dirty dishes. My husbands pancakes tasted weird, and my bacon and cheddar Skillet came with a brown gravy that should have been on some chicken and not a breakfast plate. Not sure if we'll ever come back, it just wasnt for us.

The food was amazing. The service was great. My only issue was with a guy that seem to be a local… how do I know he was a local who comes in often? Well because he came in behind us storm by and said to make some damn room. Walked straight to the front of the line. Told the waitress his name and total amount of people with him which was him and his two kids. He then went straight to the bar area. The sad part is that it seemed normal to everyone. So everything the restaurant could control they did great it was super busy today which was a Sunday. It was just the one guy who kind of caused an issue. We got omelettes. The hash browns were fantastic

Overall food, service, and atmosphere were pretty great. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommend the pancakes although everything we ordered was good. I would say the only downside would have been that one of our guests had to wait a little bit for their food to come out while all the rest of us had our food already. Also this is really nitpicking but the chairs are a bit uncomfortable if you are sensitive to those kind of things. Not a big deal things happen! Thanks for having us!

The service was and is always excellent. The food has progressively gone downhill. The coffee tasted very old and bitter or of a lower quality today. There was also something up with the pancakes, which tasted like maybe they were cooked at too in high of a temperature, burning the outside, yet still being uncooked on the inside. The syrup also tasted like it was a lower grade than before. We probably won’t be back for a while, which is a shame, since whenever we visit the service is so outstanding.

Had breakfast here, on a Saturday morning with my husband and we really enjoyed it! The vibe was super cozy and the staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive. The food was okay, not bad, but the whole experience made it a great morning out. Definitely a spot we’d come back to!
