Tepic Mexican Restaurant Mount Vernon

I was so excited to go here after the restaurant was closed for so long, but we were greatly disappointed. Chips were stale. Salsa had a weird taste to it. The meat on our food was cold when we got it. The guacamole fresco used to be made in front of you, but now it's not and honestly it tasted like it was not fresh and was really salty. The plating for the guacamole fresco was unique, which we liked, but the cost vs. the amount and quality was not worth it. The server was really nice, but he hardly had the time to check in on us. After halfway through our meal, we realized there was a bug in the water, and we got grossed out. We attempted to get the attention of staff, but it really seemed like they were spread thin. Owners seemed interested in socializing but only with those they knew. We waited for about 15 minutes and decided to just pay and leave. Hopefully they improve their quality standards but for now we wont be going back.

The service here is great, with staff displaying a warm, welcoming demeanor, ensuring you feel at home. The environment is ideal for all kinds of gatherings, with a calm and pleasant ambience. The management makes a concerted effort to satisfy their customers. A great place to experience a meal with loved ones. A gem indeed!

Had an awesome meal at Tepic Mexican in Burlington! I tried the steak and shrimp dish – it was a generous portion and absolutely delicious. The food came out fast, and the service was top-notch. A great spot for anyone looking for tasty Mexican cuisine. Highly recommend!

Normally I try my best to be understanding of busy restaurants and servers, but this was actually one of the slowest services I've ever received! It took us two hours to be seated, receive two glasses of water, and four entrees with the appetizer coming out at the same time. No explanation was given for the wait, and our server also never acknowledged how long we were waiting - with a two year old mind you! We did come in and the restaurant was busy, but we only saw our server three or four times in those two hours. It took about 20 minutes to even put a drink order in. Not sure if they were horribly understaffed or if there was some other issue, but unfortunately I probably won't risking waiting another two hours for a meal I didn't feel made up for the wait.

I have heard great things about this restaurant. The great reviews must’ve been in the past. They have now reopened, and the food is really bland… It all tasted the same and everything was really mushy and mushes together. Service wasn’t great either. Asked for napkins and never came. I got a completely different plate than what I ordered, but didn’t feel like complaining… On the other hand, the chips, salsa and margarita was amazing.!!!
