Seaford Fish & Chips

Came here for the first time before Christmas since the new owners took over. It looks a lot cleaner and organised. First time fish and chips, dim sims, potato cakes, corn jack and seafood sticks were delicious, cooked well, not oily or soggy. They did however miss half the order and we had to go back and collect. Make sure you ask for a receipt. Second time fish was ok, chips were dry and soggy. Third time lamb souvlaki and potato cake, potato cake was oozing oil. The souva had soggy lettuce and tomato and a couple of strands of onion. The paper was wrapped right into the meat and bread and half the contents were outside the bread and paper, we needed to unwrap it completely in an attempt to eat and in the process found a hair ????

My local fish and chip shops do not do it anywhere near as well as these people do, so I happily travel to Seaford. Beautifully cooked fare, you can taste the love. Proper hand cut chips are a stand out.

Called ahead and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I even said 30 minutes was completely fine, but they said no — 20 minutes. Arrived 30 minutes later and it hadn’t even been started. Ended up waiting another 30 minutes in a packed shop full of very patient but visibly frustrated people. The pace behind the counter was so slow I had enough time to reflect, grow as a person, and reconsider every life decision that led me there. Seafood pack was actually good. Chips were soggy. Overall, the timing and organisation really let it down.

Used to be a great fish and chip shop. Since this place has changed ownership it no where near as good. Flake I bought on the weekend was 60% batter and not cooked properly. The batter disintegrated off the flake and was left with a tiny bit of fish. Think I might consider going elsewhere..

YUM, The chips are perfectly salted and the fish and chips is cooked through which is so good. Also I experienced great customer service.
