Scotty is hands down the best mechanic I’ve worked with in Niceville. His prices are extremely fair, and what I appreciate most is that he actually takes the time to diagnose the problem properly instead of just throwing parts at it. He makes sure the repair is truly needed before you spend a dollar. Honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Highly recommend.

Scott is always reasonably priced and very knowledgeable. He compleats work quickly and on time. Good honest people work at Scotty's.

I previously rated Scotty's as 4 stars. This time I rated Scotty's 5 stars and if I could have rated him 6 stars I would have elected that choice. My 2014 Nissan Maxima with only 9,000 miles was previously serviced at Lee's Nissan in Fort Walton. After Nissan balanced my tires the steering wheel vibrated and wobbled in my hands any speed above 40mph. I even took my car back for Nissan to correct the issue, but it was not any better. That's when I looked for repair shops that have a road force balancing machine and found Scotty's. He has a brand new road force balancing machine. After I made my appointment I came in and met Scotty. He was professional and very knowledgeable concerning automotive repair. He had me explain the issue I had with my car and listened to me attentively. Within 30 minutes he finished balancing the tires and changed the oil and oil filter as well. Scotty explained to me that one of the front tires had a slight inherent problem and that he may not be able to get that tire perfectly balanced, but he did. Scotty asked me to test ride my car before I paid my bill and when I drove out of his lot it was like driving a new car again. All the vibration and wobble was gone! I had my beautiful driving car back again. I am very critical of how my car runs and feels and to have my car drive and ride like the day I first bought it was very important to me. I'm sure there are many other people that like me, expect their car's to run smooth. This is the place to bring your car or truck if the other repair shop's can't get your car running properly or smoothly. After a month of aggravation with my car it's finally fixed right! I am grateful that I found Scotty's Auto Repair and will be a customer for life! Thank you so much Scotty for repairing my car correctly and making it an enjoyable drive again. Jeff D.

Why make an appt with people when you can’t even get to their car that day? I have a simple issue with my car that should take an hour to figure out the problem,he said he was going to take my car for a test drive at 815am on a Wednesday and it’s now Thursday 533pm & I haven’t been informed about any progress.Its like the owners don’t care to call people,if you want a progress report you have to call them….so for an issue that should have been fixed already how long do I have to wait to hear from them about a job that should only take an hour? They usually do good work but seem to not care how long they keep your car and seems like they don’t care to keep customers informed along the way…

I dropped my truck off in March for repair. I called for a status after 3 weeks, was told they’d call me back. No call. I stop by a week later, was given excuses. I was patient and accepted the excuses. Another month goes by, I finally get my truck back. Now the transmission is shifting strangely. I get home and see they didn’t put an interior panel back in place. I took the truck back, he said he’d look into it and put the panel back. June goes by, I call, told hes not there and that she’d have him call me back. Another month goes back, nothing. Finally, the 1st week of August I call him and tell him to have my truck ready for pick up that day. I get my truck back and now the interior smells like mold and there’s white mold growing in the floorboard. I’ve had the interior deep cleaned and it still has a foul smell. I don’t know what he did to my truck but do not leave your vehicle with this person. I am currently weighing my options on legal action.
