Ronnie's Buffet And Grill

Tried this place because of the crowded parking lot. Very disappointing. We had the so called buffet which they fix for you (one time only). Hence not an all you can eat buffet. Everything we ordered was either Luke warm or cold. The two rib bones I got were cold and tough. The fried okra was ice cold. The Mac and cheese tasted like it came out of a frozen box. I think the amount of money we paid for the food was too much but what isn't these days. I left hungry because the food wasn't really good. Of course most food isn't tasty when it is cold.

The buffet had 1 green vegetable! But HEY 3 different gravy’s for your potatoes or rice! They fix your plate for a Buffet and charge 16.50 for lunch! NO drink included for that price! We will not be going back. Save your money not worth the price for the selection to choose from. Not to mention the unfriendly person at the register!

I stopped here for lunch while coming through town. The waitress was nice and stayed on top of everything. I had the Pimento Cheese Burger which was outstanding!! The buffet looked good. Maybe next time I’ll try it out. Plenty of people eating here so that says a lot about a restaurant. If nearby again around lunch, I will be stopping here.

Ronnie's has a buffet set up in the restaurant when i went on Sunday. You let the server know what you would like and they prepare the plate for you. I had the 4 vegetable plate. The dressing was delicious. I also had the mac and cheese that was tasty. The noodles were over cooked though. I also had cabbage as one of my veggies. No taste or flavor what so ever. Tasted as if I was eating water. They need to add something to the cabbage to give it some flavor. The cream corn was rather thick but not bad. I'll give it another try being this is about the only place to get southern cooking or Comfort food on Sunday in Newberry.

Our first time here. The food was good and the staff was nice.
