Rapone Original Brick Oven

Do NOT go to Olive Garden! This place is cozy and authentic and just so yummy. There was live piano with just the perfect blend of jazz and melodies. We grabbed the Italian wedding soup off the special board for $7 and it was so rewarding… couscous, meatballs, the perfect flavor. We also received bread and salad (dressings: ranch, Caesar, homemade balsamic, and Italian). Service was excellent and we got seated pretty quickly for a busy Saturday night. For entrees, we ordered chicken piccata - one of my favorites and the baked rigatoni and WOW. The piccata was so fresh and delicious. But the baked rigatoni was such a surprise. We didn’t expect it to be THAT good… so fresh, so yummy. Such a good dish. So happy we found this hole in the wall home and we will certainly be back. Didn’t get photos of the pasta because well… we dug in. Haha.

Here for a medical conference. Was here a year ago, but wanted to try a new Italian place over last year. Arrived at 6 PM, party of two. No wait. Live soft piano music being played. Dash came over quickly and took our drink and appetizer orders. The baked raviolis were a good warm-up. Our entrees of rigatoni bolognese and a Brooklyn pizza soon arrived— very good food, hot and fresh with good attentive service from Dash.

Eggplant rotolinni was excellent! Caesar salad was good. Good amount of cheese, but wish it had a little more anchovie presence. Had the Vesuvio pizza, interesting. Hot from the spicy oil, didn't care much for the Italian salami. Also wish the crust was a little crispier on the bottom! I would try a different pizza next time.. Spouse had the tortolini carbonara and said it needed more peas and prosciutto! Offers a Happy hour at the bar only which has 7 seats. Seems like some good deals on that! Kari was out server was very attentive and friendly! I'm sure we'll try it again!

The pizza was amazing. The Italian 00 flour makes a huge difference (I use it myself) and fresh basil on top shows that they care about their pizza. Could have nicer outside dining area though. Can't rate the inside.

Jay, the owner, is a super fantastic human being. And honestly, it shows in everything restaurant does! I’d give them 6 stars. House wine for $7, brick oven pizzas with great ingredients, their apps were on point. Of note, our server was so fantastic, I couldn’t believe how awesome he was. I asked him for a funny favor and he did it like a champ! We will go back! The owner Jay came by and we chatted for a while! What an amazing place! We need to try more of their food, and we will! I’ll add food photos soon..
