Pookie's Beer, Burgers & Bocce

Great find! We were looking for a local place for lunch & boy did we find it! The greatest surprise is their bourbon selection. If your are looking to try some high quality bourbon, you should definitely come here! The beer on tap is cold and the lines are very clean! Oh & the food… The burger was very good. The fries we also quite good (they’re crinkle cut fries lightly salted for my French fry aficionados). The Italian beef was of decent quality beef, but the au jus was not great. Doesn’t matter though, come for the bourbon and the beer!

I tried out the Coffee Burger which the gentleman at the bar told me that the coffee rub doesn't taste like coffee it just makes it super tender. I will tell you it was one of the most tender burgers I have eaten. It had nice thick cut bacon, Gouda cheese, with a Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce that was good. I had it with classic beer battered onion rings and you could tell they were made in fresh oil. Food was Excellent. Service was Excellent. Kitchen was super fast. Huge selection of Great bourbons too. Wish I was staying the night in Marion I would have tried a few out.

Stopped in here for a lil bite. Came looking for craft beer but couldn't drink that day. So not sure if they have any or not. First time coming in here. Was not disappointed. Food was great. Try the coffee burger. Service by the cute tattooed waitress was great. Seemed like they had a lot of regulars. Bc they was a lot of chatter between staff & customers. So the atmosphere was friendly. Our waitress stayed and talked with us. Nothing stood out or made it different. But it was a good spot to stop in at.

Went to Pookies for the first time last night to try the food and atmosphere. It was great until we were buttered up for a hustle by a bar regular. This man tried to hustle my husband and his friend, argued, accused and even grabbed one of them to prevent them from leaving. He’s lucky it ended the way it did, who knows how many intoxicated people have been juked out of their money. Due to him being a “regular”, we won’t be back sadly. But the food and drinks were excellent!

I received cold fried mushrooms!! Greasy cheese hamburger. Service was so slow, forgot about me being out on the benign!! Had to go find service for myself!???? Good place to go have a drink, not to eat!!
