Plaza Motel

Walked in with low standards, i saw all reviews, when i walked in, a cockroach immediately crawled into the corner, i thought "ok maybe its not a cockroach it might just be a flie". So then i pulled back the bedsheets to look for bedbugs, and there was a PAIR OF UNDERWEAR ON THE BED and it HAD A PAD ON IT! I immediately asked for a refund.

The rooms are horrible!!! Infested with roaches!!! Mold growing in the rooms. The floors are soaking wet because of leak coming from the floor. The rooms always smells like mildew. You receive no room service at all!!! The people that are living at the rooms are all drug addicts and acholoics. I would never come back again. Hated stay there. Had to buy own microwave because the one I was given was completely rusted out and I was going to cook food in there for my child. No matter how hard you try to get rid of the roaches you can't. The entire motel has them. The bathrooms are horrible as well. The water smells like eggs even when you use the shower. I wouldn't stay here even for the price because of what you have to deal with. Not only the rooms are bad but the people living there have no respect for the other people not so they care.

I hate that I even have to put one star. This place should be condemned. Cleanliness and upkeep do not exist here. All the owners care about is money, and they sure aren't putting it into the place. I paid $340 a week and never had any hot water, the roaches and mice might as well of been considered dependents, my sink was being held up by a toddler chair (see photos), and my toilet wouldn't flush without having to lift the lid and pull the chain, the solution to fixing these issues was having us move rooms after 5 months! And they only had us move because they were redoing the floors. The dumpster is constantly overflowing because they allow way too many people onto the property. Immigrants come by bus loads and have up to 10 people in one room. This place is the definition of a nightmare motel. You're better off sleeping in your car or camping out in the woods.

Ever since the new owners took over in 2020 they totally redid every room. New paint new floors new everything. Its so much nicer and isnt the run down place that was almost impossible to get a room because no one was ever there. The only place seemed like it was just a front business or something but the new owners seem to actually care about their business and the customers!! Thank you to the new owners!!! Truly appreciate you coming to save the place before it fell to ruins. Its been in Mays Landing for a long time, back to the days when it still had a pool and was a place family's would stay on vacation.

Checked into the hotel and only went into the room to turn on the ac and head to Atlantic city. The room had a stench that I wasn't sure that I could sleep with. Left everything in the car and when we got back at nighttime we got a nice surprise. Upon turning on the lights the walls appeared to move with the copious amounts of cockroaches that scurried about. Immediately went to the front desk for a refund. He wouldn't answer. Then we noticed a sign, "no refunds after five minutes". So we left the key and found another motel that was cleaner, cheaper, and closer to the beach. If you are between staying here and on the street. Pick the street.
