Bahhhmmbbbb... tri tip flavor can improve, tasted to much like asada, other than that... best Mofoin baked potatoes in the 831!!! Awesome spot!!

Amazing BBQ! This food was delicious! My daughter and friend rode their horses up to the front door, the owner made sure the horses were well blocked and had water. We ordered a HUGE meal and everything was perfect! Such amazing hospitality! Thanks for a great afternoon!

This is exactly what you look for in a local dive: Someone doing something unique and something so so delicious. It's got a authentic feel and the food is awesome! I gave only 4 stars, not for food taste but, for food portions, l'll explain. I paid $17 for a huge loaded baked potato and it was so so good. The potato was supposed to have several types of meat and it did. But it seems that I was paying for variety of meat rather than quantity of meat. The entire meal was huge, don't get me wrong, but the serving of meat was only about 6oz and I think that paying for mostly potato is something the owner would be embarrassed to serve to his customers. He seemed like a great dude that takes pride in delivering a great product to his customers. Also, I don't think these awesome loaded potatoes should be eaten with plastic forks. You need something more heavy duty. If I had more meat, silverware, and wasn't forced to pay for bottled water, this gem would have easily earned 5 stars from me. I'd say it's worth going out of your way for.

Driving from SF to LA you choices for eating are limited. There are the fast food dumps and the prison food. (Not sure the prison serves travelers.) Finding a good place to eat while you are in the salad bowl to the world is difficult. I was going to eat at the taco place on the corner but the smell from Nana's was wonderful. The place is old, but the food, and service was 5 stars for where you are. I meet the owner Nana, really nice guy. I planned on eating her on my return trip but they had closed for the day. For the location, quality of the food, taste, service and friendliness I would eat here again.

We got stuck behind an accident on the 101, and we were getting hungry. My son got on Google and said, "Dad, there is a BBQ place a couple exits up". We stopped and I stuck my head. It looked like a bar, so I wasn't going to go in with my kids. But the owner followed me and said we should come in. I am so glad we did. Delicious food. Very generous portions, and super friendly. I hope others can find it like we did.
