Mt Vernon Fuel Center

Stopped by here with the kids & Husband late at night. Can say- the hotdogs & hamburgers are awesome. The salad was great. & the fried potatoes are delicious. More importantly the folks were amazing. If the lady who served our table sees this- you were so kind and you made it even better! You are the best that I have seen in years!!! The inside was my favorite. Reminded me of being a kid again. Y’all please don’t ever ever redo this Diner. It’s running like how things should be! Felt at. home!!!!!! And that’s so rare anymore. ?? 10/10 will be back- and will tell my people about it!

Stopped for breakfast. It was delicious. Fresh biscuits, fresh homemade gravy. The eggs were cooked perfectly, exactly as ordered. The hashbrowns were crispy, fried bologna was good, and even the toast was good. The best part was the price...very, very reasonable. Plenty of truck parking too. I will make this my regular stop on this route!

Awesome place. Truckers delight. You can smoke too. Nice and friendly staff, support your local mom and Pop places like this. They are an endangered species. 59 truck stop and 76 truck stop restaurant. Food was hot,fast and plentiful. Got eggs, and fried bologna, friend got country fried steak with fresh gravy.

Stopped early morning here to get some rest. We were hungry and there restaurant was open. We got a good hot home cooked meal. Very friendly and welcoming. This is an old time truck stop. All truck stops should be like this one.

Entire lot full of dropped trailers. They should get them towed out of here so trucks can actually park here and do business here. They are cutting off a huge revenue stream by not having any spots to park. Store is extremely limited in selection but they do have a kitchen with good food at a fair price. It just could be so much more, a lot of potential, if they just got rid of the dropped trailers. Probably cutting out 75% of their potential.
