Mountain Spirits Liquor & Wine

I was a bit turned off when I walked in. There were two workers, a woman and an older man. I said “hello” and I didn’t mumble it, I know it was loud enough for them to hear. They didn’t respond, instead, started talking to another gentleman. I get that I stick out like a sore thumb, I have not seen another person that look like myself since arriving to Pagosa. But there’s no need for rudeness….then I feel as though I’m being watch and the older man follows me to the wine section. I could be wrong, but then he plays it off and asks the few of us that were in there “if we needed help?” How ironic, we all say yes…so that lets you know the service is not great, because all of us could’ve been asked when we walked in if we needed help or had anything in mind that we wanted. IJS. It wasn’t until the I got ready to checkout that the friendliness started to kick in, hence a 3 star rating instead of 2. I do like their wine shop section. At first I was feeling bleak until I saw the Wine Shop Section.

Very great place to purchase your liquor and wine! We are from out of town and this store was convenient and right down the road from where we were staying! We were greeted with a smile and they had a great selection!

You have the best people working, so helpful, they even help you to your car. Please keep the crew that are working there.

Great place in Pagosa Springs for liquor and beer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was looking for some local meed. They took me over to the selection they had and offered some information and advice. Overall a great experience. I will be back!

I’ve gone in here several times lately and items will consistently ring up for $2+ more than the sticker price. When I ask about it when checking out, the staff don’t say “sorry” or “let me look into it,” they just look at me and say, “Do you still want it?” Which seems a little suspicious, like they are purposefully up charging for no reason. At least change your price tags to accurately display what you are going to charge, or offer to help the customer being misled.
