Meriwether Park

Peaceful neighborhood park with a walking track, double tennis court, a playground, a softball field, picnic tables, an outdoor grill, and a restroom. The park has a small creek as well as a few bridges that connect to different entrances to the park.

THIS IS THE ROCKET PARK, NOT MERIWETHER PARK. CLEARLY WHOEVER MADE THIS GOOGLE POSTING HAS NEVER BEEN ON A TRIP TO MY FAVORITE ROCKET SHIP. But really, this park is awesome. I've spun on the merry go round til I threw up more times than I can count, swung high enough on the swings to see God, and climbed to the very top part inside the Rocket before it was welded shut. There's also loads of other jungle gym equipment and some trails to walk around. 30/10 park, the 30 part has nothing to do with my age (tho I am 30), it's just that good. Oh and there's a baseball field and a tennis court, but who cares about those there's a freaking rocket at this park come on.

Relaxing place and great for kids. They loved the rocket playground.

If you're looking for a park that doesn't have people everywhere but still has everything you want in a park, then you have to go to Meriwether Park! We went to take our dog and have lunch and I was surprised that the whole 2 hours were there, we didn't see but 6 people! This beautiful park with picnic benches ,a walking trail, kids playground, tennis court, and a feeling of being in the middle of nature while being in the middle of the city felt like it was our private place! We had the best time and it makes me wonder if anyone knows about this great park with its serenity, tranquility, and beautiful surroundings!

We love this place! Fun for kids of all ages. Even brought Grandma!
