This park overall deserves 4 stars, possibly 3 stars. The walking paths, ponds, and unique feel are amazing for this greenway BUT the area it's in attracts certain attention that leaves me or my wife to be cautious to be in alone. We walk our dog on the many different trails offered and it's really nice for the most part. I wish the main greenway path was a bit more shaded but being out in the sun does allow the path to not get muddy like other paths. The dog parks look amazing but again, the people it attracts and with the dog park being open to anyone, it's not something I would recommend to people. Overall the park looks amazing and has plenty of huge open areas to picknick or do any sort of activity, but just be cautious if alone.

My daily park to visit and catch some fresh air! Awesome to see white tailed deer, owls, hawks as well! Well kept except the occasional kids acting up and smoking weed. I believe it does need more police prescence but I have never felt unsafe. During the evening hours, sometimes you do hear people shooting out in the park. I do not know if people shoot out there for fun or for hunting purposes. I live in a nearby complex and you hear shots every other day. Police need to get a handle on this because it is very dangerous!

I think it's a pretty decent park. Someone left a review about this area being bad, but seriously? It's a very decent area, and this park stays pretty busy. You could walk in the safest park in the city and still have something happen to you. I love walking here. The only things I don't really like are the big containers or trailers towards the back. I don't know if that is private property back there, but maybe at some point it could be fenced off, or they can be moved off the property if it belongs to the city. Other than that, I love the views inside of the park and on the trails. It's just nature!

This place is great! I watched folks give their fish that they caught away to a kid, laughter echos throughout, families grill, absolutely a treasure of a park! The diversity here only makes me smile. One of the things I adore about Charlotte is how so many cultures there are in this city, and you can see the beauty of how diverse our city is here! I love hearing different languages communicate, as one language is universal: laughter. You get plenty of that here. I actually prefer this park over Freedom Park. This park has an extremely different vibe, it’s way more laid back and personable. A true utopia in an extremely stressed out city. (It was actually quite busy on a Tuesday, however, I was cognitive to not take photos of people to respect their privacy. You can expect this park to be quite lively, with plenty of parking.)

I love checking out this park. I love the creek scenery especially after it rains and the bird sanctuary for the Herrings specie's. I also see hawks and owls and I am happy it's a safe space for them. We must continue to preserve the park!!!
