This is a bold claim but here I go. The absolute best Texas BBQ in all of Texas. If you were through Midland Texas and do not stop here you are missing out. As for all you truck drivers if you're like me you enjoy good food God knows we don't get enough of it on the road. Don't miss stopping here make it a priority. Let's make this place famous!!!

I stopped in today to see what all the scuttlebutt was about and came away impressed! The best and neatest thing about this place is that is a community restaurant and most of the people that work and eat there all know each other. It was fun to watch all of the interactions. I ordered a salad with smoked chicken on it. It was GREAT. The ranch dressing was also great and I believe it was homemade. Service was super fast and friendly. The people that work there enjoy what they do and enjoy the people and it shows. Give it a try! Edit/update- still great food and service! Love the down home feel!

Get there early folks as this place sells out quickly. I had the chopped brisket and chicken breast with a side salad. All were great but the chick stood out! One of the better smoked chicken breast I've had. Super tender and a nice little spice rub on it. The ladies running the place were all very nice. Great stop of you're in the area.

I would leave -5 if possible as it was the absolute worst BBQ I have ever had in my life, me and my coworker still complain about this place 5 months later. The brisket was so dry it pulled apart in fibers just like beef jerky, the same exact thing for the chicken. It also took about 20 minutes to get our plates, every bbq spot I have ever been to, you get served as you order. I swear the food we ate was cooked 2-3 days prior to us eating it. No smoke ring whatsoever on the meat in fact it tasted like they had used liquid smoke. Either I went on the worst day of their year ever or everyone else is smoking something down there to think this place is even 1 star quality. $50 for two people, highway robbery for the trash we were served, we threw away half the plate. Wouldn’t bother giving it to my dog.

The barbecued meats are good. Tried the beans, slaw, and potato salad. Beans were not bad. Slaw was bland. Potato salad tasted like the stuff from HEB. The iced tea was really good. Apparently, this is the best place to eat in Stanton. By the way, there is no table service. Decor is cute. I just felt like I was eating in a repurposed DQ that was attached to a garage. And they do not serve steaks, even though a local indicated they did. The guy behind the counter was really nice.
