La Rosita

Sent someone to go buy meat and chicken with all the fixing. Well, that was a mistake the meat and chicken had a funky smell and taste. The best way I can describe it is maybe it was way over-refrigerated. The seasoning was terrible it was actually sweet. Queso fresco was good, cotija cheese was kinda sour. Guacamole had way too much lime. First and only time buying anything from here. I'll just make the drive to atwater or turlock for my grilling needs next time. Lesson learned you something done right do it yourself. $130 bucks down the drain.

My mom bought carnitas yesterday, and today we got to the bottom of the bag. Not only were they dry, but there was a dead fly in the carnitas. Carnitas are expensive, and this is what we get. I rarely leave reviews, but this is nasty.

Their meat section is fantastic. All of the marinated meats are delicious. The prepared foods section uses stuff from their meat department, and it is delicious. Pretty good baked goods even if they are not baked on site. Good produce, but it is central California. Good produce is everywhere.

They have the BEST burritos! The burritos are huge and reasonably priced. My family and I have tried burritos from other places and are always disappointed. We will stick with burritos from La Rosita.

Took me a while to find the milk. It is in another section of the store that is like another room. This room has the fruits & vegetables & the milk products against the far wall. They have a lot of sodas & a little bitof a lot of other things. There is a meat counter & a place to get Mexican food, with a table to eat at & a TV to watch. The food counter was closed when I was there, I guess due to it being after 8pm. Prices are about double what I am used to paying. Milk was $4.99 a gal. A yogurt drink was $1.99. A 2 liter of soda was $1.99. They do take WIC & EBT.
