10 years ago, this review would be completely different. This park is overrun by homeless and there was literal shit all over the grass. Do not bring your family or kids here . Other parks are more safe than family, friendly. Also, I got two screws in my tires from just pulling up the park to be there and then leaving.

Stopped by here just to find a table to eat my lunch and use the restroom. I didn't feel comfortable staying as there seemed to be homeless or indigent people of some sort there. And there's no open restrooms - the building with the restrooms is all fenced off and not accessible. I ended up going into the dog park to eat instead.

I love the wide open space on the large dog side. The small dog side can get busy quick. Plenty of water sources the community here are very nice from my experience

I visited La Palma Park last Sunday around noon while walking Mika, my husky. I passed through the park to reach the gated dog park next to it. Overall, the park was clean, but I found it strange that the restrooms were locked in the middle of the day. A local mentioned that this is normal, which seems inconvenient for visitors. It was also disheartening to see many homeless individuals sleeping in the park. With some remodeling taking place, I couldn’t help but wonder where they are supposed to go for basic needs like restrooms. It’s a sad reality to witness. On a positive note, the park itself appears to be well-maintained, and the dog park was a nice feature for pet owners. However, I hope the city addresses the concerns regarding restroom accessibility and support for the homeless community.

This is a good dog park. A good variety of dogs are brought in by many many wonderful people. One downfall is the water fountains for the dogs don't work. Also there is limited adult seating and what there is only exists on the outer edge along the street. Putting two 1/4 round benches on opposite sides of each tree would give adults shaded seating in all areas while keeping all trees open access for the dogs.
