Joseph May DDS - Root Canal Specialist

I feel fortunate that I selected Dr. May in a quick search for an endodontist. He braved a snowstorm and stayed late with his assistant in order to quell a severely painful toothache. His skill as a doctor is unquestionable. He was efficient and pleasant during the procedure. I recommend his services to one and all.

Found him online, based on the overwhelming positive reviews. Calling and setting my husband up was painless and got him in within the week, was very please and slightly skeptical about that. When my husband arrived, he was a little alarmed to see that the office was really a house that had been turned into an office. He almost left shortly after entering, but saw it through. And he was so glad he did. He never had a single bit of pain, even with the shot. And he had ZERO issues with pain, infection or any other issues post surgery. The doc even called a few days later personally to check on his progress. And though my husband says the “office” itself was not what he would have expected, he still says he would recommend Dr May to anyone and would go himself back without hesitation. And considering how particular my husband is, this is praise indeed. Great job Dr. May, you certainly live up to the reviews!!

When I was in need of a root canal, I had never felt such horrible pain in my life and couldn’t wait any longer. Dr. May fit me into his schedule the next morning only hours before he was going on vacation. He did an incredible job and nearly a year later, I have had no more problems with it. I usually need higher pain meds than normal and he made sure I got them. No recovery pain either! If I need another one, I will not go to anyone but him.

Dr. May did a root canal for me today. He saw me after hours because he knew I was in pain and have a trip out of town next week. Who does that anymore?? Well he does!! He made sure to explain everything that he was doing, was kind and very friendly. My tooth decided not to cooperate by refusing to stay numb but he didn't get frustrated or anything. He was very patient with the whole situation. If it were me I would've definitely gotten aggravated. Oh and he uses cutting edge equipment and technology. I can't recommend Dr. May enough if you're ever in the unfortunate situation of needing a root canal. Only thing I wish he did is everything else such as fillings, crowns, etc. because if he did, he would be the ultimate one stop shop for all your dental needs!

Dr May is a pro. The laser system he has is an innovative piece of equipment. I experienced zero pain or discomfort. I was waiting for him to finish the injection, when he said it’s done, I got surprised I didn’t even feel it. He is truly committed to the accuracy and quality of his work.
