Jay's Cafe

This little gem is a great spot for delicious food and great service for a reasonable price. They have an awesome kid's menu, too. We love bringing our out-of-town guests here.

A Local Gem in Kenmore! Jay Café is a charming, long-standing spot in the Kenmore area, and it truly lives up to its reputation. I came in for breakfast and was blown away by their French toast — it was delicious, perfectly golden, and had just the right balance of sweetness. You can tell they put care into their food, and the portions are generous for the price. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, giving you that cozy, neighborhood feel. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. One added bonus is the spacious parking lot behind the café — it’s very convenient and makes the visit even more stress-free. It’s clear why this place has remained a favorite in the community for so long. I’ll definitely be back!

With all of the growth of new and trendy restaurants in the area, this is a refreshing spot, very unpretentious. Wonderful service and very much a classic "greasy spoon" down home cafe. The biscuits with whipped butter and honey are wonderful. There are breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.

Not a lot of places left like this around, and that makes the place special in and of itself. The staff is on point so you rarely have to wait and the food comes out nice and hot. Probably the best Country Fried steak and hash browns hands down. Old school classic, pretty easy on the wallet, lots of parking.

Classic American diner. Servers are attentive and friendly, food is good for the cheap prices. As others have mentioned it looks like it hasn't been updated since it opened in the 1960s or whatever, but for me that's part of the charm. I've never felt gross or unclean eating here, if you're expecting a shiny new restaurant this may not be the place for you. If you like holes in the wall with lots of character then I can't recommend this place enough.
