Jan's River Park Cafe

Sunday Breakfast splurge at Jan’s River Park Cafe. Just steps from JazzyPigs Wilderness Refuge, we tried this little breakfast and lunch spot for the first time that we drive by each day. We love a good breakfast so we went in and were warmly greeted. We chose to sit at the counter and were quick brought coffees and waters. The waitress was very nice and informative-they had a pretty extensive old school breakfast menu. We had the corn beef hash & cheese 3 egg omelette and the 1/2 order of chipped beef on toast. The omelette came with grits and wheat toast. All were superb-corn beef was cooked perfect and it wasnt greasy. The chipped beef 1/2 order was huge and it was on Texas toast. It was had home fries. Very filling. Coffee was good- your classic diner coffee. We found the prices reasonable. All told this was a great breakfast and worth another spurge someday. Seems like it went downhill since my last visit . Potatoes were not seasoned and tasteless scrambled eggs were just paper thin like a scraping from the pan toast was barely toasted still soft and could bend it in half. Not impressed at all .

Absolutely loved the food and company. So glad I was finally able to stop in and eat. Will def be back anytime we are on that side of town. If you live in the forest or just passing by and have not tried this place yet, make sure you do. We had, Smothered chicken with tortellini and a salad, Philly steak and cheese with buffalo fries and of course some mozz sticks. ????????

Very good breakfast ???? ???? country fried steak meal was way better than the competition down the road. Best bacon ???? I've had in a while! Quick and friendly and loved hearing gospel music to start our day ????

Words cant describe how delicious the food is here. I don’t usually Oder the ham steak but I’m glad I did because it was delicious so much flavor and juicy definitely recommend. Customers service was 10/10 very attentive. I do suggest to make reservations because this place is always busy no matter the time you go. This will be my forever breakfast spot.
