Hong Kong Restaurant

The price increases are crazy especially because the lunch portions are now smaller. The buffet is open again limited to maybe 8 items one being oranges and they charge $4 more than the buffet in ukiah that has way more selection. Service was friendly and attentive most of the food was good though portions were too small to fill you up.

Went in for late lunch in a quiet and wonderful town of Lakeport. Most of the restaurants were closed as it was late in the afternoon, so we didn’t have enough options. Just wanted to give this restaurant a try since it the closet one that was open. We had chicken chow mein and combo spicy eggplant dish that came with rice, soup and a side of spring roll. Chicken chowmein was average. There was hardly any chicken and a few pieces that came tasted different than chicken. Chicken pieces were super soft like tofu and I really wasn’t sure what to make of it! Eggplant dish was super oily( it looked like deep fried) and sweet, which wasn’t to our liking. Soup and spring roll were just okay.

The food is consistently good. The staff is friendly. I like that they give you "sweet and sour" dishes with the sauce on the side so it's still crispy later and you can add as much or little sauce as you want.

If all the menu items cost the same ($13.50), that may be great for economizers, but it also means poor cuts of meat, over-fried fish, very few quality vegetables, and dishes so unappetizing we couldn’t bring ourselves to eat them. Never, ever, would this pass muster in China.

Nice place for American Chinese food in Lakeport. Fried chicken was very tasty. Everything was good, clean tasting. I'd come here again.
